In addition to the well-known function of the commissioning assistant, the script language based on the “FlexiMod” concept was integrated into this unit. This means that the function of the device can be easily adapted to the requirements of a wide variety of applications without external control functions.
The implementation of oscillating controls, parameter switching, own monitoring functions, etc. is extremely easy, programming knowledge is not necessary.
A particular advantage is that the basic function of axis positioning is already available in the delivery condition. This function can be adapted and extended by the script.
New to our family of hydraulic axis positioners is now a module with integrated power stage and Profinet interface. This combination allows cost-effective and robust proportional valves to be used without internal electronics. The Profinet interface enables seamless data exchange with the machine control system. Setpoints and actual values are transmitted digitally and without loss of accuracy. Extensive diagnostic information is available. The unit can be fully parameterised via the free WPC-300 program as well as via the Profinet interface. For this option, we provide a convenient function block for controllers of the Simatic S7 series. This also makes it possible to save parameter sets in the PLC and automatically write them back in the event of a device replacement.
With the UHC-126-U-S2 we have developed no less than three units with identical functions but different fieldbus interfaces to make even demanding synchronisation applications easily manageable. The ideal device technology for presses, motion drives and all other applications where power and precision are important.
The UHC-126…S2 features a distributed synchronisation system, a new and very robust approach. The patented MR controller linearises the controlled systems and completely eliminates interactions between the individual axis control loops.
Furthermore, the solution enables a theoretically unlimited number of synchronised axes and a high accuracy of the position measurement due to the possibility of connecting SSI sensors; alternatively, an analogue sensor interface is available. There is also the option of a superseding pressure control, in which the effective force of the cylinders can also be controlled. In addition, driver modules for Simatic PLCs are available for simple and fast integration into the machine control system.
We have recently renewed the GL certification of PAM-199-P to comply with the latest requirements of contemporary marine applications in shipping and in offshore segments. The power amplifier is typically applied for control of directional, throttle and pressure valves, which require flexible adaptation. The integrated power amplifier with a short cycle time of 0,125 ms for the current loop is an inexpensive and space-saving solution. Its versatility allows to control typical proportional valves from various manufacturers with a minimum of commissioning effort.

The Spinner company consistently relied on I/O-Link when designing the MICROTURN series. A coherent wiring and shielding concept made the decision for I/O-Link easy for the medium-sized machine manufacturer. Especially in connection with the Spinner Touch surface “SPIOS” a perfect commissioning and diagnostic tool was created. All actuators/sensors can be parameterized and analyzed with the aid of the surface. In line with Industry 4.0, a complete database for signal exchange was created here. The I/O-Link valve amplifier from W.E.St. Elektronik enables the operator to optimally adjust the clamping pressure of the chuck to the clamping requirement. This is done comfortably via the user interface, but the pressure can also be “reprogrammed” variably by the NC program. The compact design of the valve amplifier and simple integration into the I/O-Link platform spoke in favor of the W.E.St. Elektronik.
